vens-Johnson Syndrome Associated with Toxic Hepatitis




Abstract
The authors observed a rare case of Stf vens Johnson syndrome associated with Toxic Hepatitis following ingestion of aspirin.
A 40 year-old female patient was admitted to our skin dept. due to generalized skin eruptions and high fever with 4 days duration. She took aspirin 4 days prior to admission, when skin rashes, facial edema and high fever developed. Various sized vesicobullous eruptions with erythematous base were seen on the whole body including oral and genital mucosae.
In liver function test, serum transaminases and alkaline phosphatase levels were elevated on admission and spontaneously returned to normal range in the 4th. week after the cessation of aspirin.
